Season Changers is a ministry for more mature adults offering them an opportunity from 12 until 2pm on a Saturday once every 3 months to come together in the Whitburn Pentecostal Church for praise and worship, food, fun, and fellowship.
The ministry was birthed following a survey of more mature church members and those who previously attended the Friday Fellowship meetings. It is led by two members of the Pentecostal Church, Marlyn Young and Lesley Gray
The verse which inspired the new fellowship is found in the book of Ecclesiastes:
To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under Heaven”Ecclesiastes 3:1
Those surveyed said they would prefer something during the day rather than nighttime and that it should include worship, testimonies, food and refreshments, and invited guests to bring God’s word and offer continued opportunities to enjoy fellowship with each other.
Our mission is to enhance the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of older adults by offering a safe welcoming environment where they have the opportunity to enjoy fellowship one with another. Each event is open to any older adult in the community whether they have a live church connection or not. We aim to make each session as welcoming and uplifting as possible. We rely on volunteers to provide the food and refreshments, transport, and to help out on the day.
